HOPELESS HOPE - A poem by The PenmAn
Days ahead with sparkling lights
Like back lamps of vehicles stacked in Accra traffic
Hope we built and worn
Like a first day suit on a barbarian
Our steps so choreographic
Spread like a mouth - watering news in daily graphic
Empty questions with stitched excuses
Causing my able - aided inner man to think
Will this dream hold in an alcoholic slumber?
Questions still unanswered cos I never dreamt.
But what if it was a dream that I never dreamt ?
