Vakpo Easter is the event to attend this Easter not Kwahu Easter - Adatsi Brownson

We all know that Kwahu Easter is the number one Eater event in Ghana, but in an interview with Adatsi Brownson an international award winning poet and writer, he revealed to the public that apart from the "Kwahu ooooo Kwahu" which gathers the feet and soul of many people from all walks of life and nationality is Vakpo Easter.
Vakpo Easter is the new sight of the Volta land, it is an event that will leave an indelible taste in your mouth and you will have no option that to ask of more, he added.



Vakpo is a foremost town located within the North Dayi constituency in the Volta region which was founded some 500 years ago. Vakpo was among the clans that escaped from King Agorkorli together with Hlefi, Dzolo, Agate, Tsome and Gbefi.
There are three divisions in Vakpo traditional setting. Every suburb must belong to one of these divisions. The Vakpo’s were primarily hunters and famers of which they became famous for their Yam cultivation.
The present day Vakpo has an estimated population of about 25,000 and boasts with two second cycle institutions. Namely, Vakpo Senior High School (VASEC) and Vakpo Senior Technical School (VASTEC.

The smiling sun has frown - darkness has taken a seat The singing birds now bleat  For this remnants we see on our streets Are symbols of the reward of the emergence.
