13 reasons why Ten Hag should be sacked |
1. Tactical Stubbornness:
Ten Hag is known for sticking rigidly to his tactics, even when they don't suit the strengths of his players or when adjustments are needed during tough matches. Just look at the first two matches of this season, he did same in the UCL which got us eliminated last season.
2. Poor Squad Rotation:
He over-relies on certain players, leading to fatigue and injuries, while underutilizing the squad depth.
3. Mismanagement of Key Players:
His inability to handle of top players, such as pushing Cristiano Ronaldo out or benching certain experienced stars, has disrupted team harmony.
4. Inconsistent Team Performances:
Under Ten Hag, United has had winnings followed by embarrassing losses, highlighting inconsistency and a lack of cohesion. He had lost 17 away matches and won only 16. How do you tell me this?
5. Struggles in Big Games:
Ten Hag’s tactics have sometimes been exposed in high-pressure matches against top rivals, leading to heavy defeats. Need I cite examples?
6. Transfer Decisions:
Some of his signings, like Antony, Mason Mount and Wout Weghorst, have been questioned in terms of value and impact, leading to criticism of his transfer judgment. And he clearly seems not to know what he will do with them even B4 buying them.
7. Failure to Fix Defensive Issues:
Despite his focus on organization, United’s defense has remained leaky, especially against counter-attacks, set - pieces and more highlighting a major tactical flaw. And this has been the issue from the very moment he got full control of the team and till Saturday, the problem is still what has caused us.
8. Over-Complicating the Game Plan:
His approach is sometimes too complex for the players, leading to confusion and underperformance on the pitch. And that's what we are all still discussing now.
9. Inflexibility with Formation Changes:
Ten Hag often sticks to his preferred formations (like the 4-2-3-1), even when the opposition clearly outplays his system.
10. Worst Premier League Start in Decades:
United had their worst start to a Premier League season under Ten Hag, including losing the first two games of the 2022/2023 season to Brighton and Brentford, with the Brentford defeat being a 4-0 embarrassment and he is continuing same this season
11. First-Time Losses to Mid-Table Teams:
United suffered humiliating defeats against mid-table teams like Aston Villa, Brighton, Newcastleand Brentford, highlighting Ten Hag’s struggle to compete against even lower-tier opposition and relegation threatened teams.
12. Failing to Make Old Trafford a Fortress in Europe:
Traditionally, United has been strong at home in the Champions League. Under Ten Hag, even home games have been nervy, with fans witnessing poor displays instead of dominant performances
13. Struggles in the Group Stage:
United’s return to the Champions League under Ten Hag has been disastrous. Despite a favorable group, they’ve faced unexpected defeats against teams like Galatasaray and FC Copenhagen, putting their qualification hopes in jeopardy.
Erik ten Hag has proven time and again that he’s not the leader Manchester United needs. His stubborn tactics, constant embarrassments in big games, wasteful signings, and inability to inspire consistency have dragged this club down. United deserves a manager who can match its legacy and elevate the team, not one who’s breaking records for all the wrong reasons. The longer he stays, the deeper the hole we’re digging. It’s time to part ways before this club’s glory fades any further. He has to go—no more excuses.
